Trying to take photography seriously while staying playful
Hey there! Welcome to my website. I hope you'll find some interesting pictures here — something that makes you smile or stop for a few seconds.
I don't do photography for a living, but I take it seriously. I discovered a few years ago how much I loved the whole process. It started in 2023, during a three-month stay in New Orleans with a shiny second-hand Fujifilm XT-4 and I've never looked back.
I use the expression Quality Street Photography to describe what I'm doing. Quality doesn't mean my pictures are great — that's just what I aim for. Beauty is important. Quality Street is also a brand of candies, and I like to think that some photos can have the same effect as one: a good surprise, something that will make you happy just because it tastes nice. Candies are also evocative of childhood, obviously, and street photography feels to me like an infinite playground.
In that spirit, I tend to photograph whatever happens to be in front of me that I find interesting — which, after a few years of practice, seems to be: people in the streets (bonus points if they're doing something awkward or funny), and quiet, meditative moments.
And trees. I like trees.
I love chasing details at street level, but the magic of photography, for me, also happens afterwards, when I discover during editing some gems that I hadn't noticed, or when I connect hidden dots while making a photobook.
On this site you'll find a selection of what I think are my best photos (I can be wrong, of course! It's hard to judge your own work!). I have a Substack where I regularly publish a selection of my newest pictures — the curation is looser, but the process matters to me, it helps distill the work and the thoughts. I'm also on Instagram, but I'm definitely not a big fan of the medium (a phone screen is too small for serious photos!)
I also published my first zine in 2026. It's a selection of 27 pictures taken in 2024, called Poétique du détail, printed in 50 copies. If you know me personally, I'll happily give you one for free — just ask next time we see each other! If we don't know each other, I will be glad to send you a copy for the cost of shipping.
