Serious but playful.
Hey there! Welcome to my website. I hope you'll find some interesting pictures here — something that will make you smile or stop for a few seconds.
I discovered a few years ago how much I loved the whole photographic process. It started in 2023, during a three-month stay in New Orleans with a shiny second-hand Fujifilm XT-4 and I've never looked back.
Photography isn't how I make a living, but I take it seriously. The problem is, I don't like seriousness, I want my practice to stay light and playful. It's not an easy balance! I use the expression Quality Street Photography to try and resolve this tension. Quality doesn't mean my pictures are great — that's just what I aim for. Quality Street is also a candy brand, and what better embodies the playfulness of childhood than candies?
In that spirit, I tend to photograph whatever catches my eyes — which, after a few years of practice, seems to be: people in the streets (bonus points if they're doing something awkward or unexpected), and quiet, meditative moments.
And trees. I like trees.
Street photography especially feels to me like an infinite playground with a lot of sweet surprises along the way. I love chasing details at street level, but the magic also happens afterwards, when I discover during editing some gems that I hadn't noticed before, or when I connect hidden dots while making a photobook. This whole process helps me understand that reality is more fascinating and revealing than what you see at first glance. A very humbling practice — and probably why I can't help taking it seriously.
On this site you'll find a selection of what I think are my best photos (I can be wrong, of course! It's hard to judge your own work!). I have a Substack where I regularly publish a selection of my newest pictures — the curation is looser, but the process matters to me, it helps distill the work and the thoughts. I'm also on Instagram, but I'm definitely not a big fan of the medium (a phone screen is too small for serious photos!)
I also published my first zine in 2026. Making it forced me to sit with a year's worth of pictures, find what they had in common, and decide what was worth keeping. It's called Poétique du détail, 27 pictures from 2024, printed in 50 copies. If you'd like one, just reach out — I'll sort out the details with you.
